Last Monday, our secondary students had a valuable opportunity to meet Mr. Michiel Bronkhorst, a representative from Radboud University, one of the Netherlands' top universities. Mr. Bronkhorst explained Radboud's programs, the admissions process, and life as an international student in the Netherlands.
We hope this event gave our students some insights about the possibilities of entering higher education in Europe.

This morning, all YIS students, teachers, and staff gathered for a flag ceremony commemorating Sumpah Pemuda, an Indonesian historical event when Indonesian youth declared their unity in 1928, pledging one motherland, one nation, and one language—Indonesia. We hope this flag ceremony will bring the spirit of unity to the YIS community and foster love for our nation.

Batik is a significant symbol of Indonesian culture and craftsmanship, and we are proud to honor this tradition at our school. To commemorate National Batik Day, all YIS students, teachers, staff, and parents wear Batik today as part of the celebration.

Last week, our youngest students had a fun activity at school. They had a tea party with their friends, decorating donuts, eating popcorn, feeding rabbits, and harvesting vegetables from the nursery. This joyful activity allowed the students to explore the environment around them using their five senses: sight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell. Students also learned about nature, animals, and social interactions in a nurturing environment.
