For two days, our Grade 11 students will sit for the ANBK (Asesmen Nasional Berbasis Komputer), a mandatory assessment from Indonesia's Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. The objective of this assessment is to encourage improvements in the quality of learning and student learning outcomes. We are proud that, as one of the few authorized international schools in Yogyakarta, we can participate in this assessment.
The annual YIS Merdeka Games is more than just a celebration; it's an opportunity for us all—students, parents, teachers, and staff—to come together in the true spirit of teamwork, cooperation, and sportsmanship. Through engaging in traditional games, we aim to celebrate the spirit of independence while strengthening the sense of community and national pride within our school.

The purpose of Theory of Knowledge (TOK) is to provide a bird’s eye view, an overview of all the subjects known and unknown to us, and to examine the foundational concept of knowledge and knowing.
The TOK exhibition provides space for discussions around TOK and whether there are indications of TOK in the world. Each exhibitor showcases 3 objects to try to demonstrate how TOK manifests in the world.
